I have wanted to do this for a long time. Circumstances have delayed it, but is on my "Bucket List."

Contra dance (also contradance, contra-dance and other variant spellings) refers to several partnered folk dance styles in which couples dance in two facing lines of indefinite length. Sometimes described as New England folk dance, contra dances can be found around the world, though they are especially popular in North America

  1. I am so sorry didn't catch you in time... No, that is the neat thing, you don't need a partner.I haven't did it yet, but as it says above you stand in two lines facing each other and "partner" to perform steps similar to square dancing. Live music and you change partners going down the line so you dance with different people. They have practice before the dancing starts and is available each month. Sounds like fun... www.utahcontra.org/
